About Us

History

THz-Innovations Pvt. Ltd. was founded in November 2023 as a semiconductor and photonic deep-tech startup focused on advancing germanium (Ge)–based photonic terahertz (THz) technologies compatible with 1 µm fiber laser platform. Incubated at IIT Indore, the company has received formal recognition from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and secured the Startup India Seed Fund from the Government of India in April 2024.

Since its inception, THz-Innovations has been driven by relentless innovation and a strong commitment to excellence in photonic terahertz and ultrafast devices. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only company worldwide developing SiCMOS-compatible, future-ready Ge-based photonic THz devices. In contrast, conventional photonic THz technologies primarily rely on SiCMOS-incompatible compound semiconductors such as GaAs and InGaAs.

Nominated for R&D Innovation Fair of Higher Education Institutes of India, IInvenTiv: Feb-Mar 2025, IIT Madras.

Participated in Bharat Innovation Conclave: Sep 2025, BHU, Varanasi.

Supplied our first commercial product (balanced photodetector) to IIT Bombay, Jan 2026.
