The THz and Ultrafast Photonics Group at IIT Indore is dedicated to pioneering research in Terahertz technology. Our primary focus includes:
Photoconductive THz sources and detectors: GaAs and Ge based photoconductive THz sources and detectors. Devices are characterized in collaboration with various labs, including TIFR Mumbai, HZDR Dresden Germany, RUB Bochum Germany, and RRCAT Indore.
Terahertz Spectroscopy and Imaging: Developing innovative Terahertz devices and systems for advanced spectroscopy and imaging applications.

Microstructured large-area photoconductive terahertz emitters driven at high average power : High THz power.
Up to 70 THz bandwidth from an implanted Ge photoconductive antenna excited by a femtosecond Er:fibre laser : Largest THz bandwidth from PCA ever reported.
High-field THz pulses from a GaAs photoconductive emitter for non-linear THz studies : One of the largest THz field reported from such PC THz sources.
